Two Teves aides released from police custody

Hannah Mae Oray, the secretary of Negros Oriental Rep. Arnolfo Teves Jr., was released from police custody on Wednesday, March 15, after the Department of Justice (DOJ) found no evidence linking her to the firearms and explosives seized from the lawmaker’s properties in the province. Also released from custody was Jose Pablo Gimarangan.

The DOJ resolution stemmed from the charges they filed after raids in Bayawan City and Basay in Negros Oriental on March 10.

The police charged Oray, Heracleo Oray, Rodolfo Maturan, and Joseph Maturan. Similar charges were filed against Gimarangan and Roland Pablio.
