The Department of Energy (DOE) on Thursday assured the public that there would be no power outages in the summer months because the supply of electricity is sufficient despite the expected leaner reserves.

鈥淔or now, we鈥檙e not saying that we already have a lack of electricity [supply] and that we鈥檒l be having what we call rotational brownouts or outages,鈥 DOE Assistant Secretary Mario Marasigan said during the Laging Handa public briefing.

鈥淲e haven鈥檛 declared yet any force outages or that there would be a lack of supply of electricity [during the summer months],鈥 he added.

According to Marasigan, the prime concern of the DOE is to ensure that there will be sufficient power reserves. 鈥擩EROME ANING
