MANILA, Philippines 鈥 The ridge of the high-pressure area (HPA) will affect the weather in northern and central Luzon, while the easterlies will continue to bring warm weather over the rest of the country, the state weather bureau said on Wednesday.

Based on the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration鈥檚 (Pagasa) morning weather forecast, the dry season has already started, which will bring hot temperatures over the country.

(Yesterday, Pagasa declared dry season, we can expect hot and humid weather in large parts of the country that will only be accompanied by rain showers caused by easterlies or localized thunderstorms.)

(Even during the summer season, it is still possible for us to have rain, and we do not eliminate the possibility of tropical cyclones 鈥 one in March, April, and May.)
