LUCENA CITY — Police arrested three suspected illegal drug traffickers and seized more than P325,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in buy-bust operations on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 21 and 22, in Rizal and Quezon provinces.
The Police Region 4A reported that anti-narcotics operatives in Antipolo City, Rizal collared at 1:37 a.m. on Wednesday Joven Macabuhay after he sold shabu to a poseur buyer at Barangay San Jose.
Authorities seized from the suspect, a high value target in the government’s anti-drugs war, 12 sachets of meth worth about P217,600 in the street market.
Quezon police chief Colonel Ledon Monte reported that drug enforces in Candelaria town busted at P7:50 p.m. on Tuesday Teodoro Cueto in Barangay Mangilag Sur.
Cueto yielded four sachets of shabu worth P75,480. The police said Cueto was arrested in 2017 for drug trafficking.
In Padre Burgos town, police armed with a search warrant swooped down at around 6:30 p.m. on the house of Randy de Leon, a pusher in Barangay Duhat.
Seized in the house were P32,028 worth of shabu and several gun bullets, but without firearms.
The three suspects were detained and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
De Leon will also be charged with illegal possession of ammunition.
