MANILA, Philippines — A huge part of the country can expect clear skies from Friday up to the weekend due to the ridge of a high-pressure area that prevents clouds from forming and the easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, according to the state weather bureau.
Weather updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Friday afternoon showed that only thin clouds surround the archipelago.
No low-pressure area or tropical cyclone has been monitored inside or near the Philippine area of responsibility.
Temperatures for Saturday remain high in Luzon, ranging from 24 to 34 degrees Celsius; in Metro Manila with 25 to 34 degrees; Laoag and Tagaytay with 23 to 32 degrees; Baguio with 17 to 25 degrees; Puerto Princesa with 26 to 32 degrees; and Legazpi with 25 to 32 degrees.
Over Visayas and Mindanao, warm conditions would also prevail as temperatures play between 26 to 34 degrees Celsius in Cebu City; 25 to 32 degrees in Tacloban; 27 to 32 degrees in Iloilo; 24 to 31 degrees in Cagayan de Oro; 24 to 35 degrees in Zamboanga; and 24 to 33 degrees in Davao City.
