Naia, BOC foil smuggling of P3.5 million worth of illegal drugs

Authorities intercepted a shipment from New Delhi, India, containing nearly P3.5 million worth of illegal drugs in a Pasay post office on Thursday. According to the Bureau of Customs (BOC), Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) personnel were conducting an intensive screening of the Central Mail Exchange Center when the X-ray machine marked the subject parcel as suspicious. The cylindrical parcel was labeled as 鈥渦niversal engine鈥 but yielded four packs of white crystalline substances weighing 514 grams.
