MANILA, Philippines 鈥� Two elderly individuals were rescued from a boat that capsized off Pagadian City in Zamboanga del Sur, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said.
PCG鈥檚 search and rescue team on Monday saved the two Barangay Bulanit residents, identified as Victoria Baylosis, 65; and Minggoy Dipanaga, 60, from danger after big waves knocked down their small boat.
鈥淎ccording to the rescued individuals, they departed Barangay Santiago en route to Barangay Bulanit onboard a banca that capsized due to big waves,鈥� the PCG said in a statement on Tuesday.
