FEATURED STORIES

The bureau’s Fugitive Section Unit (FSU) arrested the Koreans in Imus, Cavite, on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

Byungchan has a standing warrant of arrest issued by the Seoul central district court on April 6, 2023, for fraud cases.

BI-FSU Acting Chief Rendel Ryan Sy said Byungchan was allegedly a member of a voice phishing syndicate.

The Korean had reportedly profited about 260 million won or $195,000 from victims after disguising as a financial lender.

Kim, on the other hand, has a separate warrant of arrest issued by the Jeonju district court for drunk driving and for forging a private document. —Aliah Gumasing, trainee
