LEGAZPI CITY — The local government of Daraga in Albay has declared suspension of classes at all levels due to continuous rainfall since Wednesday morning, May 3.

Mayor Carlwin Baldo said in a Facebook post that classes in both public and private schools would be suspended starting 3 p.m. due to the yellow rainfall warning issued by Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

At 2 p.m., Pagasa Southern Luzon issued the warning in Albay and Sorsogon which means that heavy rains could cause flooding in low-lying areas and near river channels.

Camarines Sur, Masbate, Catanduanes, Northern Samar, and portions of Romblon, Oriental Mindoro and Marinduque provinces would experience light to moderate rains in the next two hours.
