Aside from the strict vetting process of DEUs, Acorda said officials are also studying what to do with its special operation units (SOUs).

Regarding the P6.7 billion drug haul case, Acorda said the police force and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) are still consolidating pieces of evidence and reports.

Last May 3, DILG Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr. said they would finish investigating the case and release results in a few weeks.
