The Land Transportation Office (LTO) will offer a nationwide free theoretical driving course (TDC) for preregistered student driver applicants on May 11 and May 12.
The LTO on Wednesday said the complimentary TDC program is intended to offer opportunities for economically disadvantaged Filipinos to apply for a student permit.
LTO chief Jay Art Tugade said the initiative demonstrated LTO鈥檚 aim to increase the number of qualified drivers on the road with the help of affiliated driving schools.
The launch of the nationwide theoretical driving course, which coincides with LTO鈥檚 111th founding anniversary, will prompt the rollout of free courses at all regional offices monthly, the agency said. 鈥擩ANE BAUTISTA
