LUCENA CITY — A 3-month-old baby boy was found dead on Monday inside a house in Cainta town in Rizal province.

The body of Bryant Louise Ballesteros was found around 10:30 a.m. by neighbors after they forced open the door of the house in Barangay San Isidro, the Region 4 police, said in a report on Tuesday, May 16.

The report describes the body as “full of blisters around the body and head.”

The report tagged John Melvin Caino, uncle of the victim, as a suspect in the death of the baby, which the police recorded as “murder.”

Citing testimonies from the neighbors, the police said Caino has been serving as the guardian of the victim and his other sibling every time their mother left for work.

Before the discovery of the body, Caino left the sibling of the victim under the care of a neighbor and hurriedly left with his belongings.

The police are conducting further investigation and launched a manhunt to arrest Caino.

The police will subject the baby’s body to an autopsy to determine the cause of his death.
