SPLE “is a measure of enhancing the employability and competitiveness of qualified overseas Filipino workers as it would greatly boost their edge in the labor market,” which started in 1997, said PRC.

Its administration spares Overseas Filipino Workers in the Middle East and Hong Kong from “expensive travel expenses and rigorous travel permits from employers and host countries,” it added.
