MANILA, Philippines 鈥� An injured dolphin has been washed ashore in Sta. Cruz, Occidental Mindoro on Wednesday, the provincial government said.

The dolphin washed ashore in Barangay Poblacion 1 in Sitio Wawa due to strong waves but was later released back to the sea, according to Occidental Mindoro Public Information Office鈥檚 Facebook page.

The provincial government was alerted by a user on Facebook about the incident.
