PH COVID-19 positivity rate dips to 18.6% — Octa
MANILA, Philippines — The COVID-19 positivity rate nationwide further decreased to 18.6 percent on June 3, according to Octa Research fellow Guido David.
In a Twitter post on Saturday, David said the rate dipped to 18.6 percent from the 19.4 percent recorded the day before.
Based on the recent Department of Health (DOH) data, David reported 1,337 new COVID-19 cases nationwide — 389 of which were from the National Capital Region (NCR).

He added that other provinces and regions with new cases were Cavite (88), Bulacan (76), Laguna (66), Rizal (58), Iloilo (52), Pampanga (45), Isabela (42), Cagayan (41), Batangas (34), Bataan (32), Pangasinan (28), Quezon (26), Nueva Ecija (25), and Cebu (20)
Given these latest DOH figures, David said that June 4 could see 1,000 to 1,200 new COVID-19 cases nationwide.
Article continues after this advertisementAs of May 14, the country’s total caseload was 4,147,129 — 14,398 were active cases, 4,066,255 were recoveries, and 66,476 were deaths.
