MANILA, Philippines — Authorities arrested a 34-year-old Liberian national and seized over P55-million worth of suspected crystal meth or “shabu,” during an anti-illegal drug operation at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia), the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Tuesday.

According to PNP, its Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) and Naia-Inter Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (IADITG) operatives collared and identified suspect Philip Campbell — a mechanical engineer who arrived in the country through a flight from Doha, Qatar — following an interdiction operation on June 5.
