Marcos urges Pagcor to promote programs that will benefit the youth.

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Tuesday urged Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) to help in the campaign to transform the new generation into responsible citizens.

During the 40th Anniversary of Pagcor, the President said the company plays a vital role in funding the country’s different activities, including athletics.

“Let this anniversary, therefore, be a call to the future—a future where Pagcor is at the front and center in reshaping the gaming landscape with responsible practices, unwavering integrity, and a steadfast commitment to combating illicit activities,” said the Chief Executive during his keynote address.

According to Marcos, other initiatives that Pagcor can fund are wellness centers and schools.

“Pagcor has made an indelible mark in our society with its undeniable contribution to nation-building. I also know there are still many more chapters of its legacy that are yet to be written and are to be accomplished,” he said.

During the event, Marcos also unveiled the new logo of the corporation.

He was accompanied by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
