MANILA, Philippines — Three persons were injured after several electric poles toppled over in Binondo, Manila, Thursday afternoon.
The Manila Public Information Office (PIO), in a statement, said the incident at around 1:00 p.m. along Ongpin Street involved seven posts.
The PIO told that the cause of the incident is still being investigated.
The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) said power was cut off in the area for thus the safety of the public.
“Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan is closely monitoring the situation through Vice Mayor Yul Servo Nieto and other departments of the city government,” the PIO said.
