DOH logs 789 COVID-19 infections on third week of August

MANILA, Philippines — Department of Health (DOH) registered a total of 789 infections of COVID-19 during the third week of August or from August 14 to 20, 2023.

This is less than the 924 cases recorded the previous week.

The latest number is equivalent to a daily average of 113 cases.

FEATURED STORIES

The figure is 15 percent lower than the 132 daily average during the second week of August.

Eleven infections — or 1.41 percent of the total cases — were tagged as critical.

At this time, the number of admissions for critical COVID-19 cases is 242.

On the other hand, 10 deaths were recorded by DOH in the past two weeks.
