Pagasa: Rainfall warning downgraded to yellow in NCR

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has moved Metro Manila from the orange rainfall status to yellow still due to the southwest monsoon or “habagat” enhanced by typhoon Hanna (international name: Haikui) in its 11 am weather update.

Under the yellow rainfall warning, areas can expect 50-100 millimeters (mm) of rain in one to two hours.

On the other hand, Batanes is still under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal no.1 and will also have an estimated 50-100 mm of rainfall.

Other areas included by the Pagasa in the rainfall warnings are as follows:

Pampanga
Bulacan
Rizal
Cavite
Batangas

Orange rainfall warning:

Ilocos Region
Zambales
Bataan
Occidental Mindoro

For yellow rainfall warning, expect 50-100 mm of rain in one to two hours while in orange rainfall alert, expect 100-200 mm of rain also in one to two hours.

Meanwhile, Hanna is predicted to leave the Philippine area of responsibility on Monday morning or afternoon.
