LTO vows action on viral road rage incident

MANILA, Philippines — The (LTO) has issued a show cause order against the registered owner of a vehicle whose driver figured in a viral road rage video in Imus, Cavite.

In the video, a white SUV was seen swerving on the road in an apparent bid to block another vehicle from behind, which was followed by a confrontation.

The male driver of the SUV also confronted the driver of another vehicle. Based on the investigation, the male driver of the SUV was not the owner of the vehicle but a woman from Rizal.

In his order, LTO Regional Director Cupido Gerry Asuncion asked the registered owner of the SUV to explain why she should not be penalized in connection with the incident. The LTO will also look into the identity of the SUV driver.
