MANILA, Philippines 鈥� President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday reminded a fresh batch of new generals in the Philippine National Police (PNP) of the government鈥檚 鈥渮ero tolerance policy for corruption and human rights abuses.鈥�
At the ceremony for the oath-taking of the promoted PNP officers in Malaca帽ang, Marcos prodded them to keep the organization鈥檚 pride by being upright.
鈥淚t is imperative that we reiterate our zero-tolerance policy for corruption and human rights abuses within the PNP and, in that matter, all of government,鈥� Marcos said in his speech.

鈥淎s you take your oath today, you assert your new roles as leaders of a renewed police force. One that takes pride in its integrity, competence, and genuine service to the people,鈥� he added.
Marcos likewise urged the 55 new star-ranked PNP officers 鈥� who comprise one Police Lieutenant General, seven Police Major Generals, and 47 Police Brigadier Generals 鈥� to work hard in building and sustaining the public鈥檚 trust in PNP.
