Bongbong Marcos to PNP generals: Observe zero corruption, abuses

MANILA, Philippines 鈥 President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday reminded a fresh batch of new generals in the Philippine National Police (PNP) of the government鈥檚 鈥渮ero tolerance policy for corruption and human rights abuses.鈥

At the ceremony for the oath-taking of the promoted PNP officers in Malaca帽ang, Marcos prodded them to keep the organization鈥檚 pride by being upright.

鈥淚t is imperative that we reiterate our zero-tolerance policy for corruption and human rights abuses within the PNP and, in that matter, all of government,鈥 Marcos said in his speech.

鈥淎s you take your oath today, you assert your new roles as leaders of a renewed police force. One that takes pride in its integrity, competence, and genuine service to the people,鈥 he added.

Marcos likewise urged the 55 new star-ranked PNP officers 鈥 who comprise one Police Lieutenant General, seven Police Major Generals, and 47 Police Brigadier Generals 鈥 to work hard in building and sustaining the public鈥檚 trust in PNP.
