The House of Representatives approves on third and final reading the proposed P5.768 trillion 2024 budget.

House Bill No. 8980, which contains the General Appropriations Bill (GAB), was approved with 296 lawmakers in the affirmative, 3 in the negative, and zero abstentions.

China says the Philippine Coast Guard’s removal of the floating barrier at Scarborough Shoal is “nothing more than self-amusement.”

In a press conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said China’s position on the shoal, which it calls Huangyan Dao, remained the same.
