EU's higher education fair to run online until October 2

MANILA, Philippines — Filipino students seeking to study in Europe have until Monday, October 2, to explore possibilities online at this year’s European Higher Education Fair (EHEF).

The in-person EHEF was held until October 1 at the East Atrium of Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City. Delegation of the European Union (EU) to the Philippines launched EHEF with the help of European Member States’ Embassies.

“Students, professionals, academicians, researchers, and universities are invited to join EHEF and engage with some of the top higher education institutions from the 85 higher education institutions and diplomatic missions from Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Spain, France, Italy, Hungary, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Finland, and Sweden,” EU explained in a statement on Sunday.

Seminars were also hosted by EU Member States Embassies and Cultural Institutes during the in-person fair, which theme this year is “Pathways to Excellence,” highlighting the diverse educational avenues the European Union can offer to equip Filipino students with experiences “needed to thrive in a fast-evolving and ever-more interconnected global landscape.”

EU regional hubs Wesleyan University, University of Cordilleras, Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan support the event together with partners Ateneo de Manila University European Studies Program, De La Salle University Manila, Holy Cross of Davao College, Mabalacat City Colleges, University of Santo Tomas, University of the Philippines Diliman, Lyceum of the Philippines University-Cavite, and Visayas State University.

EHEF likewise offered an opportunity to learn a new language as provided by new event participants Alliance Francaise de Manille, Goethe-Institut, Instituto Cervantes de Manila, and Philippine-Italian Association.
