MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Tuesday said it is aiming to fully utilize its online portal called Land Transport Management System (LTMS) by the end of October.

LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II said that in line with this goal, he will form a technical working group (TWG) that will focus on addressing tech-related problems in the LTMS.

“Magtatayo tayo ng Technical Working Group. I want to, once and for all, itong Technical Working Group na ito isa lang talaga ang pakay nito, to make sure na kung ano man ang problema pa natin dito sa ating computer program na LTMS eh sana matapos na,” he said in a statement.

(We will set up a Technical Working Group. I want to, once and for all, this Technical Working Group has only one goal, to make sure that whatever problems we still have with our computer program LTMS will be over.)

“So in the meantime, we will slowly, gradually, hopefully, [by the end of this month], eh ay 100 percent LTMS na tayo (we’ll go 100 percent LTMS),” he added.

Mendoza likewise said he had met with regional directors, district officers, and various stakeholders and discussed migration to LTMS when providing services to the public.

“Lahat tayo sabay-sabay mag-utilize ng LTMS for purposes of full transactions under LTO kailangan naman natin gawin ‘yan,” he said.

(Let’s all simultaneously utilize LTMS for full transactions under LTO; we have to do that.)
