17 Israel OFWs returning to PH on October 18 鈥� DMW

MANILA, Philippines — Seventeen Israel-based Filipino workers are scheduled to arrive in the country on Wednesday, October 18, Department of Migrant Workers Spokesperson Toby Nebrida told 黑料社 on Monday.
Nebrida said the arriving Filipinos are under the jurisdiction of the Philippine Embassy in Israel and Migrant Workers Office in Tel Aviv.
“They are due to leave [on] October 17 and arrive in Manila on October 18,” said Nebrida.
According to the DMW official, eight of these 17 Filipinos were initially scheduled to arrive in the country on October 16, but their repatriation was moved.
Their flight was then combined with other Filipinos and merged into one batch.
Nebrida said most of them are caregivers and hotel workers.
No other details were provided by DMW as of posting time.
The agency has yet to disclose what type of assistance will be extended to the repatriated Filipinos.
Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega earlier bared that the would be easier than bringing home Filipinos from the Gaza Strip.
