INQToday: Marcos calls off COP28 Dubai trip amid ‘developments’ in Red Sea hostage situation

President Bongbong Marcos will no longer fly to Dubai to attend the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

In a social media post, the President said he decided to stay amid “important developments in the hostage situation involving 17 Filipino seafarers in the Red Sea.”

The Bicameral Conference Committee for the P5.768 trillion national budget next year officially convenes on Thursday in Makati City.

The committee, comprising selected lawmakers from the House of Representatives and the Senate, faces the challenge of reconciling conflicting provisions in House Bill No. 8980, which contains the 2024 national budget.

President Bongbong Marcos and first lady Liza Araneta-Marcos host a “casual dinner” for senators in Malacañang.

Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa confirmed this in an ambush interview with reporters on Wednesday.
