MANILA, Philippines 鈥 President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. accepted the credentials of two foreign envoys on Tuesday, one from Vietnam and the other from Timor-Leste.

The president received both ambassadors in Malaca帽an Palace in Manila.

鈥淚t is with great pleasure that I welcome you Manila, to the Philippines as the Ambassador of Vietnam to our country,鈥 Marcos told Vietnam Ambassador to the Philippines Lai Thai Binh.

鈥淚t is just in time as we have many things planned between our two countries and I鈥檓 very happy to have received your letter of credence,鈥 added the president.

Marcos said he spoke with Vietnamese Prime Minister Ph岷 Minh Ch铆nh during Asean Summits, saying that there were many areas of cooperation for the Philippines and Vietnam to explore.

Meanwhile, Marciano Octavio Garcia Da Silva is the resident ambassador of Timor-Leste to the Philippines.

鈥淭his is indicative of the growing partnership that your country and mine through our bilateral relationships, together with the multilateral relationships, have progressed in the last few years,鈥 said Marcos.
