SBMA head resigns from post
SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Chair and Administrator Jonathan Tan officially resigned from his post on Friday after serving for just eight months.
Tan thanked his colleagues in SBMA for supporting him during his “short term,” but he did not state the reason for resigning.
A former mayor of Pandan town in Antique province, Tan was appointed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in April last year and became the ninth head of the agency after taking his oath of office the following month.

In a text message on Friday, Armie Llamas, officer in charge of SBMA’s office of the deputy administrator for corporate communications, said they have not received any official information on who would replace Tan.
But sources said a local businessman would succeed him.
