MANILA, Philippines — Former Batangas Representative Ralph Recto took his oath on Friday as the new secretary of the Department of Finance.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. administered his oath on Palace grounds.

Frederick Go was also sworn in as the Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs.
Recto replaces former Finance Chief Benjamin Diokno, who said he is leaving the post in a better state than when he found it.

“I am pleased to announce that I will be turning over my seat as Finance Secretary to Deputy Speaker Ralph Recto,” said Diokno in an earlier statement.
