PCG rescues sick Filipino chief engr. of foreign tanker sailing in Zambales
MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has rescued a Filipino chief engineer of a bulk carrier who was sick as his ship was traveling in waters off Palauig town in Zambales.
aid the crew of its BRP Malapascua on Sunday morning assisted the chief engineer of MV Agia Valentini identified as Danilo Perez Lozada.
Lozada was reportedly suffering from tachycardia (heart beating faster than normal), swollen face and body weakness.
BRP Malapascua immediately guided MV Agia Valentini and made it head to the bay of Mariveles, Bataan to rush the patient straight to Mariveles District Hospital.
Registered under the flag of Cyprus, the bulk carrier came from Singapore and was supposed to do a port call in Manila.
