Tesda accepts enrollees for English, Japanese language courses

MANILA, Philippines — Those who wish to hone their English proficiency and learn Japanese are encouraged by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) to enroll in its center in Taguig City.

Tesda Secretary Suharto Mangudadatu on Friday said its English Proficiency for Customer Service Workers and Japanese Language and Culture-Level II under its National Language Skills Center in Taguig City is now open to accept students.

Mangudadatu said the training duration for English Proficiency for Customer Service Workers is 100 hours or 25 days while for Japanese Language and Culture will run for 300 hours or 75 days.

“In a world that is constantly evolving, where adaptability and versatility are key, it is essential for us to invest in ourselves and broaden our horizons,” Mangudadatu said in a statement.

Tesda said its English Proficiency for Customer Service Workers course aims to train individuals to communicate using basic and workplace conversational language and is most suitable for those holding or intend to apply for jobs such as customer service representatives, telemarketers, office front desk representatives, call center agents, and marketing agents, among others.

On the other hand, the agency’s Japanese Language and Culture course is intended to help trainees to further strengthen their understanding of Japan’s culture including its workplace standards, norms, and work ethics for those intending to live and work there or do administrative work for Japanese companies in the country.

“Embrace the opportunity to refine your language skills, gain a global perspective, and enhance your employability,” Mangudadatu said.
