Marcos: Gov’t working on reliable internet services

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. on Thursday said that the government is committed to providing the public with accessible internet services. 

During the lighting up ceremony of the Philippine Domestic Submarine Cable Network (PDSCN) in Makati City, Marcos thanked the private partners who made the project possible.

“With the help of our private sector partners, we continue to pursue measures towards providing the Filipino people with reliable and affordable internet services, which will enable us to improve our standing in the world in terms of broadband and mobile internet speed and coverage,” Marcos said in his speech.

Among the private partners who helped develop the PDSCN are  InfiniVAN Inc. and partners Globe Telecom and Eastern Telecommunications. 

The President also said that the government will further promote ease of doing business in the country.
