The House of Representatives has required Quiboloy to appear on March 12 before its committee on legislative franchises to investigate alleged violations of the KJC-owned Sonshine Media Network Inc.

Quiboloy gave a 36-minute voice message on YouTube on Wednesday, calling these hearings an agenda to 鈥渄emonize me and destroy my reputation.鈥

Quiboloy has claimed a plot to have him killed. That鈥檚聽why he went into hiding despite a subpoena having been issued to him to appear before a Senate investigation.

In the audio statement, Quiboloy accused the United States government of orchestrating a plan to assassinate him. He said the supposed scheme would involve hit men storming his compound to kidnap and eventually murder him.

He implicated President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in the kill plot, claiming Marcos was conspiring with the US to execute it.

However, the Philippine National Police said Thursday it had not intercepted any information indicating threats to Quiboloy鈥檚 life.

According to the FBI poster, Quiboloy had been facing various charges in the United States, such as conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion, and sex trafficking of children; sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion; conspiracy; and bulk cash smuggling.
