P345,000 shabu seized from ‘high-value target’ in Tarlac drug bust

MABALACAT CITY, PAMPANGA — Anti-narcotics operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a “high value target” who allegedly yielded some P345,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation at Santiago village in nearby Concepcion, Tarlac on Saturday night, February 24.

In a statement, the PDEA Central Luzon identified the arrested suspect as Jeremy Brian Reyes, 27, a resident of Las Piñas City in Metro Manila.

PDEA-Tarlac operatives confiscated from the suspect a resealable transparent plastic sachet containing some 50 grams of shabu and recovered from him the marked money used in the sting operation.

PDEA Central Luzon said the buy-bust operation against Reyes was jointly conducted with Naval Intelligence and Security Group-Northern Luzon and the local police around 10 p.m. on Saturday.

The regional anti-illegal drugs agency said charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect.
