MANILA, Philippines — The back side window of the bulletproof car that Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director General Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr. lent to Deputy Director General Al Perreras was smashed due to a gun attack on Tuesday morning
Initial reports reaching BuCor indicated that unknown assailants attacked the Toyota Hilux at 6:30 a.m. while driver CO1 Cornelio Colalong and passenger CO1 Leonardo Cabaniero were traveling along the Skyway to pick up Perreras in Quezon City.
Reports also said that the attackers were aboard a gray sedan, which initially overtook a backup car for the Toyota Hilux before the suspects fired at the pick-up truck. The suspects fled via the Nagtahan Exit of the Skyway.
