Overcast skies with rains to prevail in parts of Luzon, eastern Visayas

MANILA, Philippines—Overcast skies with chances of light rain are expected in parts of Luzon and Eastern Visayas on Tuesday, while the rest of the country will have hot and humid weather, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

The state weather bureau said that easterlies will continue to bring generally fair weather nationwide for the Holy Week.

“Ngayong araw asahan ang makulimlim na panahon sa ilang bahagi ng Southern Luzon kabilang na ang malaking bahagi ng Bicol Region, as well as, Quezon. Sa natitirang bahagi ng Southern Luzon, bahagyang maulap hanggang minsan maulap na kalangitan simula sa umaga dito sa Rizal, Laguna at ilang bahagi ng Marinduque,” Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said in a morning forecast.

“Pagsapit ng tanghali medyo hanggang gabi ay medyo kukulimlim din po ang panahon dito sa Central Luzon, Metro Manila, west of Calabarzon, at dito rin sa Mimaropa,” he added.

(From afternoon to night, the weather will be cloudy in Central Luzon, Metro Manila, west of Calabarzon, and Mimaropa.)

Estereja reported that the rest of Luzon, especially the northern part, will experience hot and humid weather, along with Palawan and Mindanao.

He added that Pagasa has not monitored any weather disturbance or low-pressure area that may enter the country’s area of responsibility for the rest of the week.

No gale warning had been raised in any of the country’s seaboards, Estareja further said.

Meanwhile, below is the forecast temperature range in key cities or areas for Tuesday:

  • Metro Manila: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius
  • Baguio City: 16 to 26 degrees Celsius
  • Laoag City: 24 to 33 degrees Celsius
  • Tuguegarao: 24 to 35 degrees Celsius
  • Legazpi City: 25 to 30 degrees Celsius
  • Tagaytay: 21 to 31 degrees Celsius
  • Puerto Princesa City: 26 to 33 degrees Celsius
  • Kalayaan Islands: 27 to 33 degrees Celsius
  • Iloilo City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Cebu: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Tacloban City: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
  • Cagayan De Oro City: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
  • Zamboanga City: 25 to 35 degrees Celsius
  • Davao City: 25 to 34 degrees Celsius
