MANILA, Philippines — Manila announced on Wednesday that road closures will be implemented on March 28 (Maundy Thursday) from 10 p.m. onwards due to a procession staged by Quiapo Church on March 29 (Good Friday).

Following are the roads that will be closed to traffic:
- northbound and southbound lane of Quezon Boulevard from A. Mendoza/Fugoso Streets to Quezon Bridge straight to P. Burgos Street (Park N’ Ride)
- westbound lane of España Boulevard from P. Campa Street to Lerma Street
- stretch of Evangelista Street from C.M. Recto Avenue to Villalobos Street
- northbound lane of Rizal Avenue from Carriedo Street to C.M. Recto Avenue
- stretch of Gonzalo Puyat Street from Quezon Boulevard (southbound) to Rizal Avenue
- stretch of Carriedo Street from Plaza Lacson to Evangelista Street
- stretch of C. Palanca Street from P. Casal Street to Plaza Lacson
- stretch of Arlegui Street from Quezon Boulevard (northbound) to Legarda Street
- westbound lane of Legarda Street from Arlegui Street to C.M. Recto Avenue
- San Rafael (Plaza del Carmen) from Legarda Street to Quezon Boulevard (northbound)
- stretch of S.H. Loyola Street to C.M. Recto Avenue to Bilibid Viejo Street
- northbound lane of McArthur Bridge

The city will also implement the following rerouting scheme:
- Vehicles from A. Mendoza Street whose drivers want to use Quezon Boulevard, turn right to Fugoso Street, left to Rizal Avenue or Tomas Mapua Street.
- Vehicles from Quezon City on the westbound lane of España Boulevard, turn left to Nicanor Reyes Street (Morayta), turn left to C.M. Recto Avenue, or turn right to P. Campa Street to Fugoso Street.
- Vehicles from P. Burgos Avenue whose drivers want to use Quezon Bridge or McArthur Bridge, go straight to Jones Bridge.
- Vehicles from Ayala Bridge who want to use Palanca Street, go straight to P. Casal Street.
- Vehicles from Santa Mesa whose drivers want to use the westbound lane of Legarda, turn right to C.M. Recto Avenue to the point of destination.
