The DOE added that it will monitor the red and yellow alerts raised by the NGCP on three consecutive days which was caused by a high demand for electricity in the recent days.

“Power supply conditions have remained tight since Tuesday, 16 April 2024, resulting in the issuance of Red and Yellow Alerts in the Luzon grid and Yellow Alerts in the Visayas grid,” the DOE added.
