MANILA, Philippines 鈥 Generally fair and hot weather with chances of isolated rains will prevail in most parts of the country on Tuesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
In an early morning advisory, Pagasa weather specialist Rhea Torres said that this is due to the continuous effect of easterlies, or warm winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean.

(Today, the hot weather will continue in most parts of our country, except for chances of occasional scattered showers.)
However, the southern portion of Mindanao will be rained on by cloud clusters brought by the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).
鈥淢ayroon po tayong mga namamataan na mga kaulapan more on dito sa may southern portion ng ating bansa, at kung makikita po natin, ilang bahagi po ng Mindanao ay naaapektuhan nito, ito po 鈥榶ung Intertropical Convergence Zone o ITCZ,鈥 she said.
(We鈥檙e observing some cloudiness, particularly in the southern portion of our country, and we can see that parts of Mindanao are affected by this, which is the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ.)
鈥淜aya asahan po natin dito sa may katimugang bahagi ng Mindanao, makakaranas po tayo ng mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan,鈥 Torres added.
(So, we can expect scattered rainfall in the southern part of Mindanao.)
