LUCENA CITY — Face-to-face or on-site classes in all schools in Calamba City, Laguna will resume on Monday, May 6.
On Sunday afternoon (May 5), Mayor Roseller Rizal made the announcement on his Facebook page.
“Everyone is still advised to bring a towel, fan and always drink water to prevent heat stroke and other illnesses,” Rizal reminded the students and teachers.
The local government suspended school classes on April 29 and 30 due to the strike of jeepney drivers and the scorching heat.
On May 2 and 3, face-to-face classes were also suspended and schools shifted to distance learning due to the extreme heat caused by the prevailing El Niño.
