Marcos hopes old academic calendar back by ‘next year’
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday said that he hoped to have the old school calendar back by “next year.”
In an ambush interview in Pasay City, Marcos was asked to respond to the Department of Education’s proposal to revert to the old school calendar amid the ongoing El Niño heatwaves.
Marcos said that he saw the need to shift to the old school calendar (June to March).
“I don’t see any objections, especially with El Niño being what it is. Every day you turn on the news, F2F classes are postponed,” said Marcos.
