MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police (PNP) chief General Rommel Marbil is “confident” that “there is no truth” to rumors involving the organization to the latest ouster plot against President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo said this during a press briefing on Thursday when asked about the destabilization rumors following former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV’s revelation that some of the officials behind the plot are based in Mindanao.
