Chinese trader abducted in Cabanatuan City, say cops

CABANATUAN CITY — Unidentified armed men on Tuesday abducted a 41-year-old Chinese businessman in Barangay Magsaysay Norte in this city, police said on Wednesday.

An initial report identified the victim as Bingkun Kang, who was forced into a white commuter van by the culprits around 6 a.m.

The victim reportedly runs an onion storage facility in Talavera town.

Investigators said the abductors sped off toward nearby Barangay Mabini.

Police said the case had been referred to the Philippine National Police’s Anti-Kidnapping Group as the local police continued to track down the abductors.
