SUBIC BAY FREEPORT 鈥� Even before the month ends, the Bureau of Customs (BOC)-Port of Subic has already exceeded its collection target for May.
In a statement on Wednesday, the agency, led by lawyer Ricardo Morales II, said it had collected P4.171 billion in revenues, surpassing the monthly goal of P4.094 billion.
鈥淭his accomplishment represents a surplus of P77 million, or an increase of 1.88 percent over the target,鈥� the BOC-Port of Subic said.
It added: 鈥淭his success highlights the unwavering commitment and efficiency of the Port of Subic team in driving revenue collection and supporting national economic goals.
While there are still eight working days left this month, the agency vowed to continue to 鈥渟trive for even greater achievements.鈥�
鈥淭he team is dedicated to further enhancing revenue collection efforts and contributing positively to national development,鈥� the agency said.
According to Morales, the Port鈥檚 success 鈥渟ignificantly bolsters national revenue,鈥� as he expressed his gratitude to his team.
鈥淚 am immensely proud of the Port of Subic team for their extraordinary efforts. Their dedication and professionalism are truly commendable. I look forward to more successes as we continue through the month,鈥� he said. INQ
