LEGAZPI CITY – A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck Donsol, Sorsogon on Saturday night, May 25, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Based on the bulletin of Phivolcs, the epicenter of the tectonic quake that occurred at 8:36 p.m. was located 6 kilometers northwest of Donsol.
It occurred at a depth of 5 kilometers.
Paul Karson Alanis, resident volcanologist at Phivolcs Legazpi, told Inquirer that Intensity II was recorded in Legazpi City in Albay, while Intensity I was detected in Irosin, Sorsogon and Claveria, Masbate.

The agency also logged various instrumental intensities at Intensity II in Milagros, Masbate and Legazpi City in Albay.
