Pagasa: Hot, humid weather in Luzon; cloudy skies in rest of PH on Sunday
MANILA, Philippines — Hot and humid weather will prevail in Luzon on Sunday while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies due to easterlies, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In its morning forecast, Pagasa said easterlies will continue to affect the eastern portions of the country, while localized thunderstorms will bring isolated rain showers in western parts of Mindanao.

“’Di gaano nakakaapekto ‘yung southwest monsoon o habagat sa ating bansa kaya magiging mainit ‘yung panahon na mararanasan natin dito sa Metro Manila maging sa nalalabing bahagi pa ng Luzon na may posibilidad ng isolated thunderstorms o yung biglaan o panandaliang pagulan,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.

“Samantala sa bahagi ng Palawan, Visayas at Mindanao, makararanas tayo ng bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap na kalangitan meron posibilidad ng isolated na pagulan dahil sa easterlies,” she added.
(Meanwhile, Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of isolated rain showers due to easterlies.)
She also said no gale warning was raised over the country’s seaboards.
Moreover, Castañeda reported that the weather disturbance monitored outside the Philippine area of responsibility has already developed into a low-pressure area (LPA).
She, however, assured the public that the LPA has no direct effect on the country as of this time.
