MMDA lifts number coding scheme on June 12 in view of Independence Day

MANILA, Philippines — The expanded number coding scheme for Wednesday, June 12, will be lifted in celebration of the 126th Independence Day, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced.

“Suspendido ang pagpapatupad ng expanded number coding scheme sa Miyerkules, Hunyo 12, sa pagdiriwang ng ika-126 na anibersaryo ng kalayaan ng Pilipinas, isang regular holiday,” the MMDA said in a Facebook post on Monday.

(The implementation of the expanded number coding scheme is suspended on Wednesday, June 12, in celebration of the 126th anniversary of Philippine independence, a regular holiday.)

It also encouraged the public to participate in the activities prepared by the government at the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park, Manila.

These events began on June 10 and will last until June 12.
