NCSC chair Quijano suspended for 90 days amid gross neglect raps – Palace
MANILA, Philippines — National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) Chairperson Franklin Quijano has been placed under a 90-day preventive suspension amid allegations of gross neglect of duty and grave misconduct, Malacañang confirmed Thursday.
“Yes po,” Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Garafil told in a message when asked about Quijano’s suspension.
No other details were given.

Last month, however, it was reported that five of six NCSC commissioners namely, Mary Jean Loreche, Edwin Espejo, Reymar Mansilungan, Rainier Cruz, and Enriqueta Rodeles asked Quijano to step down.
