Inquirer aid drive for Carina victims
The Philippine Daily Inquirer through the Inquirer Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to our readers and stakeholders who generously responded to our call for donations for the victims of Typhoon Carina.
Our donors’ contributions enabled us to provide assistance to more than 120 families in Barangay Bagong Silangan, Quezon City. These families, severely affected by the typhoon, received essential supplies and support through our donors’ kindness and solidarity. The distribution took place on August 6 and August 8.
The Inquirer also extends its sincere appreciation to its partners, the Tanging Yaman Foundation Ateneo DReAM Team and Angat Buhay. Their dedication and hard work in organizing, packing, and distributing the relief goods were vital to the success of this initiative. Collaborating with these organizations ensured that the aid reached those in need efficiently and effectively.
This collective effort underscores the power of community and the impact we can achieve when we come together to help those in need. The Inquirer is proud to be part of such a compassionate and responsive community. Our donors’ financial help not only provided immediate relief to the affected families but also brought hope and comfort during challenging times. The show of empathy is a testament to the enduring spirit of bayanihan that defines our community. The Inquirer remains committed to continuing its mission of serving and supporting fellow Filipinos, especially in times of crisis.
